I have been in church all my life. I didn’t really get God and Jesus early on, but I do now. Jesus died on the cross, saved me from my sins, and rose again.

When I was younger, I thought, “God, why did you let me get hurt?” He didn’t let me get hurt. He brought me through. Trusting in Jesus can be rocky, although he helps me through the hard times. He brought me helpful people, an encouraging family, and he’s helped me realize the Lord is my Shepherd.

John 10:11, says “I’m a good Shepherd. A good Shepherd lays down his life for his sheep.” The Lord is like a boat in rough water. In rough times it may be hard to trust him, but you can always trust Jesus.
