Keynote Speaker
Jason Johnson is Director of Church Mobilization and Engagement with Christian Alliance for Orphans. In his work, he speaks and teaches at churches, conferences, forums and workshops on church-based ministry strategies and best practices, as well as encouraging families that are in the trenches and those that are considering getting involved. Much of his time is also spent coaching and consulting with church and organizational leadership teams around the country on how to start, lead and grow ministries within their church or build the most effective church engagement strategies within their organizations.

Step 1: Register for the Summit
There is a charge of $30/person, which includes lunch.

Step 2: Register for one Breakout Session
The breakout sessions are simultaneous, so pick just one. There is no additional charge for these.
The Trauma-Informed Caregiving and Become an Ally trainings are both approved for 1.5 hours of Foster Parent Training Credit. If you choose one of these as your breakout selection, you will get a certificate of training upon completion of the session. The breakout sessions are offered once and simultaneously.

1: Open Your Home
- Sarah Sloan
This session is for those interested in becoming adoptive and/or foster parents.
2: Become an Ally
- Amie Robertson
This is for those interested in developing empathy and skills to engage in genuine relationship with vulnerable children and families through avenues such as foster care, family preservation initiatives, mentor programs and children’s and mercy church ministries.
3: Trauma-Informed Caregiving
- Taryn Millett
This session is for parents, caregivers, childcare workers, friends and family members of children from hard places who are new to trauma-informed care.
4: Transracial Adoption and Foster Care - Andy Norris
This session is for current Adoptive and Foster Parents who are in transracial/interracial adoptive relationships, or would like to prepare for this type of adoption.
