Sermon

Micah 5:1-6 “The Shepherd-King”

Who is like God? Certainly not the people or leaders of Israel in Micah’s day. The people devoted themselves completely to their own self-interest through cheating and swindling.

The leaders, in turn, used the people to serve themselves. In short, instead of loving God and loving people, everybody was ignoring God and abusing people. Into this situation, the prophet Micah spoke truth – and it’s Micah’s proclamation that Pastor Daniel Montgomery focuses on this week. Listen in as Micah proclaims judgment and points forward to the Shepherd-King who was to come. As Pastor Daniel explains, the Shepherd-King is none other than King Jesus. Merry Christmas! Week 51 of 52.
