Sojourn Community Church

We define “servants” as members of the church who work together to serve others in the community and advance the Kingdom for Jesus in the Louisville area.  Some would say “volunteers” but we use the biblical term “servant” because it more accurately portrays what Christ calls each of us to: a live of service under His lordship.

What opportunities are available?

Sojourn’s vision of gospel transformation throughout the Louisville metropolitan area and Southern Indiana is huge. It takes many dedicated servants of Christ to fulfill our calling. Here are three great places to start:

MERCY MONDAY. Each Monday from 6:30-8:30pm, join a team of deacons for mercy ministry and be guided every step of the way by an experienced minister of the gospel.  Visit the elderly,  run errands for neighborhood families and prayer walk with other Sojourners.  Email seed@sojournchurch.com.

SUNDAY CONNECT: Help us welcome and serve those who attend Sunday Services. We need greeters, parking attendants, coffee servers and other hospitable volunteers.  Email connect@sojournchurch.com.

JOIN A GROUP: Our groups provide the front lines of pastoral care in our community.  Groups also participate in regular service projects together, and our Community Group leaders keep group members informed of service opportunities within the church.  Email groups@sojournchurch.com.

How else can I serve at Sojourn Church?

You can serve with our SojournKids ministry, audition for the worship team or serve in many other capacities once you are a member (Sign up for our Membership Class to get started).

You can also watch for service opportunities in the News & Events section of this website.
