Sojourn Community Church

God knows our most personal struggles, confusion and our cries for help as we live in this world.  He doesn’t leave us on our own to figure out life—He gives us His living Word and His people, through the continuous work of His Spirit. The gospel is powerful enough to transform our hearts and minds so that we can understand our lives in a messed up world, and can even change in the midst of difficult circumstances.

God designed His family to love and care for one another in community. At Sojourn, we care for our family primarily through Group Life. Joining a community group is the best way to experience mutual love and encouragement as a family, to know that someone will visit you when you’re sick or walk with you through tragedy. Most of our counseling and mentoring occurs at this level as well — people to people, serving one another in love.

Our Counseling ministry is purposefully integrated into Sojourn Gathered and Group Life because we do not believe a weekly one-hour counseling appointment is sufficient to journey through the difficulties of life.  For those who need extra care and help overcoming the sins, hurts, grief or addictions of the past, we offer Recovery Groups.

We also handle many benevolence cases through Seed, our urban renewal ministry. Contact seed@sojournchurch.com to request a service project or talk with someone about food, clothing and other care-related needs.
