Becoming a member of Sojourn is a commitment to the work of the gospel and the common good of the Sojourn family. We are one body, and in a healthy body, every member must function (Romans 12:4). Members also benefit from primary care from church leadership, as the Bible prescribes (Galatians 6:10).
Here is how to become a member of Sojourn:
CONNECT. Tell us about yourself by creating a profile on The City
COME. Learn what we believe and the expectations of membership (time, talents, resources) by attending one of our quarterly membership classes. You’ll explore membership for two hours on a Friday night, and six hours that Saturday. Register for the August 27-28 class here, or the November 12-13 class here.
COVENANT. Affirm your desire to join by signing the member covenant and writing out your conversion story. You’ll also fill out a Conversion Questionnaire, read the Church Constitution, and fill out your Personal Renewal Plan. You’ll bring these things with you for your final member meeting with a Sojourn leader.
CONVERSATION. Meet with a Sojourn leader to finalize your membership. After taking the Membership Class, you can sign up to for your Member Interview at this link. Just:
- click on the link for the campus you attend
- click on a specific interviewer’s name, or click “no preference” to see all the available slots for that campus
