Deacons within Sojourn are servant leaders recognized for their service, their leadership, and their character.
They must meet the requirements of 1 Tim. 3:8-13 and functionally serving as a leader in the area for which they have been called. Once asked to enter the process and after they have prayerfully accepted, a deacon candidate will enter a training process with their ministry leader. The purpose of this process is to provide uniformity to how Sojourn calls, equips and releases its leaders to do ministry.
