This Sunday: Info Meeting for Sojourn Counseling

Sojourn Counseling is offering an informational session Sunday, 14 Feb 2010 for anyone interested in finding out more about the counseling ministry. This meeting is for those who might want to jump in and start training at the beginning of the second quarter-April 2010.

Ash Wednesday Service, 6:30am Wednesday, February 17

Join us for our Ash Wednesday service on Wednesday, February 17 at both Sojourn campuses.  We will meet at 6:30 for this historic start to the season of Lent, in which we move towards the key events of our faith — the death, burial and resurrection of Christ.

“Developing A Christian Response To The Challenge Of Islam” Dr. Albert Mohler @ Sojourn East, 2.17.10

Come hear Dr. Albert Mohler, noted author and President of Southern Baptist Theological Serminary, lead a discussion on the religion of Islam. Dr. Mohler will speak at our East campus on Wednesday, February 17 at 6:3o pm.

This event is free, and open to members of both Sojourn campuses as well as the public. Dr. Mohler will talk about how Christians should respond to our Muslim neighbors, and what we should know about the religion of Islam.

February Sojourn Prayer Meeting: 6:30am, 2-9-2010

Mission Trip To North Africa This June

This summer Sojourn members have the opportunity of traveling to North Africa to serve alongside one of our Sojourn missionary families. Here are some of the details:

Location: North Africa

Dates: June 4-13, 2010

Estimated Cost: $2400

Project: Countryside prayer trekking (High altitude. Requires “strong stomach”)

Team size: Seven people

Moms Together, First Friday Of Each Month

Moms Together is a monthly meeting for moms of any age/stage of life to come together and learn from the Word of God and from each other how to best grow in our walks with the Lord as well as in our parenting. It is also a time for more experienced moms to help younger ones to grow as moms! (Titus 2)

Sojourn Flu Statement/ Sojourn Kids Illness Policy

Flu season is coming upon us. While the Bible teaches that we should not live in fear, we can certainly take precautions as individuals and as a church family to minimize the risk of flu outbreak, whether H1N1, Avian or the seasonal flu.

We can all help protect ourselves, our children and each other by washing our hands and using hand sanitizer regularly, covering with sleeves when coughing, and, if sick, to stay home from Sojourn Gathered, community group and other events and activities.

Know that the Sojourn elders have been seeking counsel and maintaining contact with health agencies and officials, and emergency responders. Here are some steps we are taking:
