Sojourn Kids

Children’s Ministry (Sojourn Kids)

At the J-Town Campus, we care a great deal about transforming the next generation into a community of fully mature Christians who do not forget God’s works but keep His commandments (Psalm 78:5-7; Colossians 1:28-29).

As this is a growing ministry in a brand new Sojourn campus, we have plenty of opportunities for you to serve.  Email us today to find out how to get plugged in.

We want to …

  • CREATE an attractional environment for building relationships with the unchurched, overchurched, and churched.
  • CONNECT children and families with Christ through his church community.
  • GROW children and families—sharing both the gospel and our lives with them.
  • GROW parents as influential voices and points of influence in the lives of children and students.

Ministry Age Groups:

We provide childcare during all services at the J-Town Campus.

  • Nursery: Birth to 2 years old
  • Toddler A: 2 and 3 year olds
  • Preschool: 4 to 5 year olds
  • Elementary: 1st to 5th grade

We also have a Nursing Mothers Room located near the auditorium. Please ask a Children’s Ministry Servant for directions.

First-time Visitors

If you are new to the J-Town Campus, you should plan on arriving 15-20 minutes before the start of a service. Enter through the main doors. Turn left, into the SojournKids hallway, where a Children’s Minsitry servant will greet you, show your children to the right classrooms, and provide any assistance needed.

Upon your first visit, you will fill-out a “SojournKids Connect Card.” Once filled out, we will enter your information into our secure database. This information provides us with essential family contact information, emergency contact information, and will allow us to keep you informed on the latest news and events for SojournKids.

Security is High Priority

At Sojourn one of our highest priorities is security. We want to provide a safe and secure place for your children to learn and grow.

All our servants must complete a thorough process in order to be approved for serving in our Children’s Ministry. Not only do they complete a detailed application but each must also pass a standard background test.

Finally, all children and their parents are issued a nametag with a unique identification code when checking-in. The parent must provide a tag with a matching identification number in order to pick-up their child.
