What Brought You to Sojourn?

Heidi and I were in a small group under Robert and Karen Cheong at another church when Robert received the call to serve as an elder at Sojourn. We visited Sojourn a few months later and our hearts were stirred by Daniel’s preaching and by clearly seeing the gospel lived out in community and in the city. We also figured it wouldn’t hurt to learn a few more things from the Cheongs.

Favorite Movie / TV Show

A couple of my favorite movies are Fight Club and The Usual Suspects. A common practice at our house is to spend Thursday evenings watching some Office, Parks and Recreation, and 30 Rock.

Favorite Music / Band:

I am still under the curse of loving exactly what I listened to in High School: Counting Crows, Nick Drake, Cat Stevens, Mason Jennings, and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Let me know if you have any suggestions.

Favorite Book Other Than the Bible:

One of my favorites is The Knowledge of the Holy by A.W. Tozer. My favorite books to read to my girls are The Jesus Storybook Bible or Read Aloud Bible Stories.

Hobbies/Interests:

I am a really, really big fan of hanging out with Heidi and the girls. If I ever sneak away, it is typically for golf, ultimate Frisbee, Frisbee golf, football, basketball, or a run.

Latest Sermon

1 Timothy 2:4-7 “One Way”

One God. One Mediator. One Sacrifice. This is the hope of the Christian.
