Amos “Let Justice Roll”

Amos is a great book filled with bold, vivid poetry about God and his people. The economic landscape of Israel had grown very bleak – the rich were grabbing up all the wealth and were crushing the poor to do so.

The poor of the land had to enter into financial slavery just to survive and the rich rolled around like fat cows only growing fatter. Though there seemed to be a flood of wealth, God declares through Amos that there is a severe drought of justice. Into this drought, God says, ‘Let justice roll on like a river; righteousness like a never-failing stream.’ Listen in as Pastor Daniel Montgomery explores what the flood of justice looks like in our lives as a command and a promise. Week 50 of 52.
