Lamentations

The book of Lamentations records the prophet Jeremiah’s horror as the very words he prophesied to Israel unfold before him and Jerusalem is reduced to rubble.

Jeremiah 29 “A Letter to the Exiles”

Jeremiah 29 answers the question, ‘How should a child of God live in exile, when dropped into a culture that’s radically different than their own?’

“Formed for Mission” Jeremiah 1

In the life of Jeremiah, Christians can gain valuable insight about God’s role in their life and plans for them. God has given us a message of good news and that message will result on us being on a mission. Listen in as Sojourn’s SEED leader Nathan Ivey unpacks what we can learn from Jeremiah 1 about God’s intention for his people to be a people with a message, on a mission to live out that message.

“Mission: Accomplished” Isaiah 53

Written 700 years before Jesus was born, Isaiah 53 is stunning in it’s clarity of what Jesus’ mission would be about. Listen in as pastor Chad Lewis unpacks the great news of Isaiah 53 and Jesus’ life. Find words of great assurance for Christians an non-Christians alike and find fuel to be about God’s work on the earth.

“Mission” Isaiah 49

Last week we looked into God’s message in Isaiah 6 – his holiness, our sinfulness and the way God made for us through Jesus Christ to be restored. Isaiah’s response to this message was to go, to serve the Lord by carrying this message to the people. In short, Isaiah responded by going on a mission. It’s this mission, which all of God’s people share, that pastor Daniel Montgomery unpacks today; as Christians, we must know that mission will advance by God’s light and love, through God’s people. Week 40 of 52.

“Holy, Holy, Holy” Isaiah 6:1-8

Isaiah has been called the Old Testament gospel – it contains essential Christianity in advance. Isaiah 6 shows us four key components of the Christian life – God’s holiness, our sin and woe, God’s free gift of grace and our mission to share God’s message. Listen in as pastor Daniel Montgomery urges Christians to recognize just what God’s holiness means for them and how God’s grace overflows into a transformed life. Week 39 of 52.

“Lovers” Song of Solomon

Listen in as Daniel Montgomery explores Song of Solomon and unpacks what it means to be built as lovers, whether selfishly pursuing immediate pleasure or submitting to God’s design and finding deeper pleasures there. “Chasing After the Wind” Ecclesiastes

Do you want to be happy? It’s not a trick question; of course you do. We all want to be happy. We all search for things that will bring us pleasure. At the height of his reign, king Solomon, the traditionally held author of Ecclesiastes, set out to find out if there was any lasting [...]

Our Home Is Like A Little Church

Our Home Is Like A Little Church

Our Home is like a Little Church was written to teach preschool children the Christian truth evident in its title–that the home is a “little church” where the father teaches his family God’s commands and leads them to worship the one true God.

Over the Grave album cover

Over The Grave: The Hymns Of Isaac Watts, Volume One

This CD is the first installment of the Isaac Watts Project: songs inspired by and adapted from his hymns. The record was written and performed entirely by musicians from Sojourn Community Church — 35 in all. It is our hope that this project, like Watts’s hymns, will point us beyond the music and lyrics to see the glorious Savior who inspires them.

Before the Throne album cover

Before the Throne

Sojourn’s latest worship album connects the worship practices of the Church gathered to the ordinary stuff of daily life, a life lived before the throne of God. This life is a rich and varied experience of adoration, confession, thanksgiving, prayer for guidance, prayers of repentance and communal sharing of God’s peace, blessing and love.

These Things I Remember album cover

Advent Songs cover

Advent Songs

The album “Songs for the Advent” was recorded in 2003: a collection of original, traditional and instrumental songs celebrating the season of waiting and anticipation before Christmas. This record revisits the spirit and songs of that record, reviving three original tracks and adding five new songs and traditional arrangements.

With the Angels CD cover

With the Angels

Sojourn began with a series of conversations between a group of people hungry to experience God in an authentic community. The first original songs that Sojourners sang together were the raw, Bible-infused songs of worship leader Jeremy Quillo.
