What brought you to Sojourn?

A friend had listened to me talk ad nauseum about the kind of gospel community I was looking for, and about the lack of respect and understanding in modern Christendom for the arts. He finally said, “There’s this church I know about in Louisville that sounds like what you’re looking for …” I researched Sojourn online and listened to five of Pastor Daniel’s sermons before attending Sojourn Gathered, because I didn’t want my opinion to be influenced too much by the music, which I’d heard was really good. Then I began attending. The preaching was solid, the community was tight and raw, and yes, the music was really good. And here I am, part of the family.

Favorite movie/ TV show:

A River Runs Through It/ Lost, Mad Men, The Office

Favorite music/ band:

Bob Dylan.

Favorite book other than the Bible:

The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald.

Hobbies/interests:

Reading, writing and anything but arithmetic. I enjoy live theater, live music, hiking, movies, salsa, board games, and – dare I say it – NASCAR. I know, I know. Shake ‘n bake!

Latest Sermon

1 Timothy 2:4-7 “One Way”

One God. One Mediator. One Sacrifice. This is the hope of the Christian.
